what are the red corners i'm seeing?
Good question.... they are abstract shapes I wanted to leave in the painting. They can be interpreted however you want. Now that I'm mostly finished with the cat, I don't really think it works so well.
I think they distract - makes it look one dimensional, flat.
that was so important, I had to say it twice???
