I've been trying to finish Detroit. Didn't have my camera at my studio today so no pics. I made headway on the white boxer. I brought it home and scanned it so here she is. She's been making me nuts with her freaky gums!

wow- you've done a good job with this dog. i compared the painting to the photo you sent our blog and you make her a better looking dog. her mouth truely is weird. it looks good so far, are you trying to make her gums look less like hers and more like a normal dogs? i think that might be a good idea as long as it doesnt take away from who she is.

since i saw the photo of her, i know her gums are gums. but i think they do read as gums, tho it looks like maybe she just shook up a small animal and has blood around her mouth. but-you're probably planning on covering that red? maybe blue-ish?
